Born February 16, 1955 in the family of the famous writer Ernest Hemingway, she spent her childhood on her grandfather’s farm. In adolescence Margo started having problems with alcohol, parents could not cope with an illness of their daughter so her education was passed on to Ernest Hemingway. Thanks to the rigorous approach of the writer Margot acquired his habits. She began to love nature, and almost all of her weekends spent in the mountains. She fished, climbed the mountains and was very similar to Grandpa. Margaux Hemingway was a promising model and actress, and her prospects were bright.

Even her childhood was not overlooked: in part due to the fact that she was the granddaughter of the idol of the nation, in part – because of the ability to ride a bike with no hands. “Margo – the only known child – wrote the local newspaper – who knows how to ride a bicycle, with her feet on the rudder and holding in one hand the ice cream and the other waving to all passers-by.”

The girl dropped out of school and moved to New York. She began to try herself as a model, for that she had all the necessary parameters. She had a beautiful appearance, tall and slender figure. Therefore, she was constantly keeping to a strict diet. The efforts were rewarded: the photo on the cover of “Vogue” and “Time”, where they wrote about her – “golden girl.” At 20 years old, Margo became the highest paid model and received a $ 1 million. But their marriage was on the verge of collapse, and the project did not materialize.

Then Margot became fascinated with Buddhism and the magic of the American Indians, indulged in solitary drinking, gained weight 24 kilos and 1988 looked an absolute wreck. In the autumn of ’90, she was brought to the Betty Ford clinic with a breakdown on the basis of alcoholism. After a course of treatment with the strongest of psychotropic drugs, she was discharged. She did not like blood and chose more accurate way to commit suicide, remaining true to this dark and strange “habit” of the Hemingways. After all, habits – the science has already proven – are inherited by each new generation, as hair or eye color. And distant great-grandson, unwittingly, covers his eyes from the sun or lights a cigarette, the same way as a hundred years ago did his great-grandfather. And suicide to solve all the problems, when it begins to seem that there is no exit. Margaux Hemingway, her brother, grandfather and great-grandfather “solved” their problems with suicide.

Margaux Hemingway died on July 2, 1996 under mysterious circumstances in her apartment in Santa Monica, California, at the age of 41. This happened 35 years after the suicide of her grandfather – exactly to the day.
