She even got a dance scholarship, that allowed her to enter the New York University. London Kaye has enjoyed crocheting since the age of thirteen. Her passion for Ballet and crochet naturally led London Kaye to the Art world, even though it is a street art. Looking at crocheted with ballerinas, aliens, unicorns fences, passersby are guaranteed to get aesthetic pleasure and good mood at least for a day. If the planet Earth was gradually invaded by such yarn-bombers as London Kaye – we wouldn’t mind.

Batik world by Mary Kaminskaya. Russian artist of applied art Maria Kaminskaya was born in 1983 in Rostov- on-Don. She graduated from the South Russian State Technical University. Maria Kaminskaya is a designer and philologist – Interpreter of the German language. In 2001 Maria Kaminskaya participated in the exhibition “Young Artists of the Don” in Rostov- on-Don, received the diploma of the third degree. She has been engaged in painting on silk since 2002. In 2006 she moved to Moscow. In December 2007, Maria Kaminskaya had her first solo exhibition “Silk Road”. In 2008 she became a member of the Creative Union of Professional Artists. Participated in the anniversary exhibition of goods and crafts in Monaco, as well as in the exhibition “Golden Globes 2008” in “Crocus Expo”.

Founder of this genre is considered Maeno Takashi, born in 1961 art teacher, academician of the Institute of Nagoya. He began creating such pictures on silk in 1987.
