Murano glass-makers still insist that authentic Murano glass is fabricated only in Murano.

Siberian artists Oleg Antukhov and Sergey Bychkov founded the creative studio “AB” in 1999, in Tomsk. The company then specialized in creating interiors. Now behind the laconic title “AB” lives the bizarre world of fantasy, turned into the real works of art. In the workshop “AB” it’s very cozy and interesting: an infinite number of tools for working with wood and not just carefully placed in cans buttons, rivets and even jewelry, cans of paint and varnish, but the main thing – decorative panels of wood, leather, glass and metal. “We do not follow global trends, we mix media and volume, young people looking at our work say it’s 3D pictures!” – Says Oleg. The level of fantasy of artists is difficult not to admire.

Gold miniature artist Venkatesh is from Tamil Nadu state, India. 28-year-old Indian craftsman G Venkatesh has devoted himself to miniature art, and his ambition is to get into the Guinness Book of World Records. Venkatesh has spent three years on creating these painstaking sculptures, he began working on silver before progressing to the more precious metal. His gold gallery includes a working bicycle and cricket world cup trophy. He has carved the working models out of one gram of gold. All his artworks measure less than one centimeter – and need a magnifying glass to view in detail.

Surreal artist jeweler Vladimir Kush, in addition to painting has mastered such art directions as animation, as well as sculpture and jewelry, and he is equally talented in all of them. Vladimir Kush was born in 1965, in Moscow. Love for drawing woke up in Vladimir quite early, when the boy was 7 years old. After 10 years of studying at the art school in Krasnopresnensk district of Moscow, Vladimir entered the Stroganov Academy of fine arts. After graduating from the academy, he worked as a freelance artist, like many artists of the time, selling his beautiful paintings on the famous Moscow art street – Arbat. At first, he just painted the portraits of passers-by, then his talent attracted the attention of foreigners. On new orders – oil portraits – Kush was invited directly to the American embassy, the artist was able to significantly tighten up his English, and to get an invitation to visit the USA.

The talented Soviet sculptor and painter Vladimir Kolesnikov has created a series of beautiful sculptural compositions and small architectural forms in different parts of Russia and Ukraine. Fairy-tale characters made of concrete, adorn the parks and gardens of cities and towns, parks and public gardens, private homes and cottages. Artworks by 57-year-old artist Kolesnikov radiate positive energy, pleasing to the eye of visitors and passers-by, giving joy and aesthetic pleasure to all who see his work. Kolesnikov has extensive experience in sculpture. Even as a 14-year-old teenager, he tried his hand in wood carving, and the passion for sculpting has never stopped since then. At the age of 23, Vladimir Kolesnikov founded his small business “Centaurus”. Wizards led by Kolesnikov ae engaged in landscape design, small architecture, decorating children’s parks and gardens, villas and houses with fabulous and funny characters. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, Vladimir Kolesnikov established his family business “Kolesnikov workshop”, where he works today. Vladimir Kolesnikov now lives in the Ukraine, often working in Russia.

Amber mosaics by Alexandr Zhuravlev. Art restorer Alexandr Alexandrovich Zhuravlev (25.08.1943 – 27.12.2009 tragically died) devoted all his life to art. His name is the whole epoch of art processing and restoration of amber in Russia. Painter and restorer of the highest category, a member of the World Council of Amber, a member of the Union of Artists of Russia. At age of 70 he participated in the creation of the Museum of Amber in Kaliningrad. Alexandr Zhuravlev was the head of the Amber Room restoration project at the Catherine Palace (1981 – 1997) in Tsarskoye Selo. With his direct participation developed methods, scientific approaches and technologies that allowed to revive the lost masterpiece of exclusive amber.
