Talented Polish engineer Szymon Klimek combines art and engineering in his works.  So far, he has created a gallery of beautiful models of the early 20th century cars, in particular, trains, steam engines and fancy carriages. But the interesting thing is that any product easily fits a regular wine glass. Miniature models are made of very thin sheets of copper and steel. While completing the work, the author gives the desired shape and fastens together the details with glue. However, the creation of miniature can take up to two months of hard work. According to the master, his work is at the intersection of decorative, engineering, and jewelry. By the way, Klimek prefers to keep his miniatures in wine glasses.

First of all, Mexico’s Indigenous people have been making decorative art for many years. And this time, eight members of two Huichol families decorated this vintage Volkswagen beetle. Of course, they successfully completed the task for a short period of time. In particular, it took them seven months, and more than two million of tiny glass beads. Inspired by the designs of Francisco Bautista, a patriarch of one of the families, they incorporated their traditional indigenous theologies and cultural symbols with modern vernacular. Meanwhile, the serpents on the the front design represent “rain”, while the the roof – decorated with the sun and four eagles. Birds were thought to be the intermediaries between gods and mortals. The rear part and sides are tributes or “ofrendas” of fruits of the earth to their gods.

As a result, a handmade submarine – a dream has come true. Besides, the creator managed to make a few dives from his creation. Interestingly, Vasily built the submarine which he saw in his dream. In fact, Chikur started working on submarine two and a half years ago and it took some time to develop the drawing. And then, he, with the help of his friends brought the drawing to life. Meanwhile, some details took away a lot of time and effort. Chikur carefully thought out all the steps of creating a submarine, and invested a lot of money into the project.

British artist Chris Gilmour was born in Stockport, UK 1973, but currently lives and works in Udine, Italy. In 2006 he was awarded the Premio Cairo, a Prize for young artists. Using only cardboard and glue, Chris creates incredible sculptures , everything you see is 100% cardboard. Material that Gilmour chooses for his sculptures, easy to obtain, and it is cheap. Gilmour works not only in the accuracy of the displayed items in the life-size, they are as real objects which we are all used to touch: the typewriter, a car, a bicycle or a stroller. Sculptor carefully selects objects from his memory and experiences, remembering feelings, gestures, or daily activities. “Perception of the work is similar in different countries, the reaction to the objects is the same … Hopefully this means these objects communicate to different nationalities and cultures.”
