Children raised by animals.
In the entire recorded human history there are more than a hundred cases in which children grew up away from people, in the company of animals. Such “Mowgli” stories happened to all races and continents. All these cases have become the proof that a person does not have internal program, a special soul, and his normal human upbringing is possible only in a society. Any human deprived of the chance to speak as a young child, could ever be taught in later life. Feral children usually exhibit the behavior of the animals with whom they have had closest contact, a condition known as the Mowgli Syndrome after the fictional child from Rudyard Kipling’s “The Jungle Book” who was raised by wolves in the jungle. Such children have usually built strong ties with the animals with whom they lived and find the transition to normal human contact extremely traumatic.

Multiple human births. Five sisters – Elizaveta, Alexandra, Nadezhda, Tatiana and Varvara

Multiple human births.
About the Artamkins family talked a little more four years ago. All federal TV channels showed scenes of the family, which once had five beautiful daughters – Elizaveta, Alexandra, Nadezhda, Tatiana and Varvara. Russian doctors refused to carry this pregnancy. British doctors have helped to see the light to all five girls. The head of the family Dmitry Artamkin teaches math in high school. He says the doctors stated, “You know that your wife will die along with all the kids?’. At the Center of Protection of Mother and Child (paradoxical name) gathered a council, and these venerable professors predicted that pregnancy would last up to a maximum of twenty weeks. They put his wife in a deadlock with the statement: “We – the leading center, and we reject you, nowhere in the world, we have not heard, that was born bunch of fives and all would be well.” The support Dmitry and his pregnant wife had only in the Church. This once again reminds us that you can only rely on God and in their case on the British doctors.

Dr German Pilipenko and Professor Marina Chukhrova have treated more than a thousand patients, and are now getting foreigners trying this ‘method of limited exposure or pain’, often as a last resort. 22-year-old Natasha says ‘I am the proof that this controversial treatment works, and I recommend it to anyone suffering from an addiction or depression. It hurts like crazy – but it’s given me back my life. Without it I seriously believe I would now be dead’. Patients see that this treatment is working where everything else has failed.

Optical illusions by Professor Akiyoshi. Eye Rays. Kaleidoscopic picture-illusion full of colors, based on the modern concept of Gestalt psychology

Optical illusions by Professor Akiyoshi
It’s hard to believe that all these colorful images in front of us are still images, but not animations. Kitaoka Akiyoshi is a Professor in the Department of Psychology at Ritsumeikan University, Kyoto, Japan studying visual perception, visual illusion, optical illusion, trompe l’oeil, 3D, etc. Specializing in visual perception, Kitaoka Akiyoshi has created a kaleidoscopic picture-illusion full of colors, based on the modern concept of Gestalt psychology. Gestalt psychology is a theory of the Berlin School on mind and brain. And the operational principle of gestalt psychology is that the brain is holistic, parallel, and analog, with self-organizing tendencies. The principle maintains that the human eye sees objects in their entirety before perceiving their individual parts, suggesting the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. Kurt Koffka is the author of the original phrase (though mistranslated) “The whole is other than the sum of the parts”.

We are all liars. “Liar Liar”, 1997 film

We are all liars.
Are you a liar? ‘No’ you will say angrily. And so will most people. Nobody like liars. But if somebody asks you a question, “Do you always tell the truth?’ your answer will not be so certain. Suppose you meet someone in the street who you used to go to the office with. “How are you?” – you ask. Lie # 1, you really don’t care. “Fine, thanks”, – he answers. Lie #2, he has got terrible headache. “You look well” – you say. Lie #3. You don’t think he looks well at all. When you say good-bye, you add “Have a good time”. Lie #4 – you actually don’t wish this at all, because you have never liked him. He says “Anyway, let’s keep in touch”. Lie #5 – he hopes he will never see you again. Do you realize that in a single minute 5 lies were told?

The director and founder of the museum, Yuri Schukin

Museum of sin in Tambov.
The director and founder of the museum, Yuri Shchukin who has worked at the morgue for 35 years, constantly faced various pathologies. Gradually, in the collection were about 700 agents, each of which has some sinful history. First, the museum was located in the morgue, but later moved to one of the buildings of Tambov State University. Today, its walls actively promote a healthy lifestyle. «People come to us students, and I tell them how not to behave: drinking, smoking, taking drugs — says Shchukin. — The consequences of such actions can be seen with their own eyes: here are freaks with defects in the limbs, trunk, head, and severed hands, feet, genitals defects. «Indeed, it is better to see once than to hear unsubstantiated horror stories about bad habits.
