Madeleine Albrights jewelry with sense
Everyone knows about the love of the former U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright to the brooches. It was also a natural love of a woman to jewelry. And, we know that each brooch had the message. Her book “Read My Pins” tells a story how one woman’s jewelry collection was used to make diplomatic history. Madeleine used a pin or a brooch as a means of personal and diplomatic expression, thus, jewelry had become part of her personal diplomatic arsenal. “None of this would have happened without Saddam Hussein,” said Albright. When the Iraqi press called her an “unparalleled serpent,” she made sure to wear a snake pin during her next meeting with Iraqi officials. From that day brooches had become Albright’s diplomatic style, her self-expression, sense of humor, and simply sense. The jewelry pieces she wore was not only a political message, in addition, they were beautiful art work of jewelers.

According to Senders, he first took camera in 2006 and started taking photos not asking himself questions about the technical aspects of photography. “I just learned making photos by doing shoots, looking at the screen of my camera and making mistakes”. Thus, the innovative photographer created his own style. He achieved the unique style through improvisation and intuition, and using only natural light. As a rule, Henri Senders chooses a model and a location, depending on the weather and mood of the day. Also, he chooses his models by intuition.

Maurice Tillet Shrek prototype born in Russia

Maurice Tillet Shrek prototype
I’ve always suspected strong, charming and kind-hearted Shrek could have Russian roots. His prototype Maurice Tillet was born on October 23, 1903 into the family of Russian intelligence. His mother was a teacher of foreign languages, and this must explain Maurice’s talent in studying languages. It is known that he could speak at least 16 foreign languages. Maurice Tillet’s father was a railroad engineer. The family lived in the Urals region. His father died when Maurice was young. When Maurice was 14 years old the Russian revolution began. So, he and his mother left Russia for France, like many intelligent people of that time. The boy had attractive appearance, and was nicknamed “The Angel”, due to his angelic face. The word “angel” stayed with him till his death. The boy’s dream to become a lawyer never came true.

Paintings by George Bush

Paintings by George Bush

Portrait of dog Barney (died in 2013), a Scottish Terrier who lived with the ex president in the White House. Paintings by George Bush

Paintings by George Bush
Honestly speaking, never knew George Bush had such hobby as painting. These naive-like paintings belong to the brush of a former American president George W. Bush. Among the favorite subjects of paintings of the former politician and artist – dogs, self-portraits and architectural landscapes. The value of the masterpieces is doubtful, but now George Bush is among the well-known politicians painters, such as Hitler, Churchill and Prince Charles, whose art works are almost always cause a stir at auction. What surprised me even more than his passion for art – Russian matryoshka dolls in his studio, they probably inspire the amateur artist to create his paintings in his home studio in Dallas, Texas, where the former president settled down.
