There are two “Veils of Veronica” – in St. Peter’s in Vatican and the church in Manopello, for the recognition of the authenticity of one of them is a real war.

The usual time she needs for creating one piece of artful bead-work is approximately two months. Creating any decoration the artist usually uses various materials, for instance, for this beautiful necklace “Queen Of The Garden” (in the above photo) she used: boulder opals, larimars, Swarovski crystal, pearls. Unique leaden books were found in northern Jordan. According to scientists, the collection of ancient manuscripts is able to turn the entire biblical story. A local peasant-Bedouin went to the mountains with his goats. The man knew every stone in the land, therefore, at once he drew his attention to glittering objects. There were 70 books. The books made of lead were fastened by a metal wire. The cave where the books were found, most likely, was the place the first Christians were hiding, back in the 70’s ad, and maybe even before.

Buddhist complex Maytszishan – a series of 194 caves carved into the wall of a hill Maytszishan in Tianshui City, Gansu Province, northwest China. This striking example of rock architecture contains over 7,200 Buddhist sculptures and over 1,000 square meters frescoes. Construction of the grottoes began in late Qing Dynasty. The monks chose to stay there, the earliest written records mention two monks Tanhonga and Huanggang, who meditated there.

Russian artist Mikhail Nesterov. In 1890, the then unknown to anybody Mikhail Nesterov broke into the artistic life of Moscow. A traveling exhibition of Fine arts presented his masterpiece, which became a sensation, and was immediately purchased by Pavel Tretyakov for his gallery. The idea of painting was so unusual for the Russian art of that time, a bold compositional and pictorial solution, landscape, scenery lyrical inspiration and motive were unprecedentedly depicted. Everything pointed to the fact that Russian art got a young original artist in the face of Nesterov, who was going his own separate way in the art ignoring stereotypes and dogmas of the past.

Priest, iconographer and reverend Theodore Jurewicz has spent six years covering walls of St. Stephen Serbian Orthodox church in byzantine style religious paintings. Paintbrush and palette in hand, the Serbian Orthodox priest filled virtually every square inch of interior wall and ceiling with icons, sacred paintings depicting the life of Christ and the angels and saints. Saints are seen balancing gilded halos, winged angels hug curved arches, calligraphic lettering help to tell ancient stories. “I was always interested in holy pictures when I was a child. I used to scribble on paper and on the walls”, Jurewicz said. “It just grew on me, I guess“. St. Stephen Serbian Orthodox Church is located in Lackawanna, New York. St. Stephen Serbian Orthodox Church was completed just in time for the May 5 Easter celebration.
