Every year, in the city of Zama takes place a colorful and picturesque festival of sunflowers, known as Himawari Matsuri. From July to August the city of Zama attracts tourists from all over the world. Tourists and locals listen to music (heard everywhere), and cozy cafe offers excellent food. But most importantly, you can buy selected fresh fruits and vegetables, including, of course, all sorts of products from sunflower. Meanwhile, the festival held in Zama is not by chance. Hardly anywhere else you can find a field where all the plants are about 5 meters in height! People use the leaves of sunflower not only in agriculture (still used as feed for cattle), but also in the pulp industry for the manufacture of paper. In addition, the sunflower has another valuable feature: it extracts toxic components of the soil, such as lead, arsenic and uranium.

There is a restaurant, a stall, the sunflower mazes and a duck ranch on the site. Tourists can ride a sightseeing tractor and rental cycle is for a fee. The admission is also free. Besides, the parking lot is free, too. However, there is a toll for sunflower mazes.
