Ksenia Sobchak beautiful face of Russian opposition
Born on November 5, 1981 in St.Petersburg, Russia, Sobchak (Xenia, Xeniya, Ksenia) has become the most recognizable celebrity, known to everyone. She is the daughter of the first democratically-elected mayor of Saint Petersburg Anatoly Sobchak. And she took most of him – well educated, broad-minded, brave, rebellious, just cool. Whatever she does – she does excellently, as we say it in Russia – talented people are talented in everything. Sometimes described to international audiences as “Russia’s Paris Hilton”, however, she is not. In my opinion, she is the one and only “Russia’s Sobchak”. I believe Ksenia has bright political future, I simply believe in her. We’ll see (by the way I published this post 26 April 2012).

September 17, 2012 her candidacy was announced for the coordinating council of the Russian opposition. Among the 11 opposition activists issued a statement, which says that “between government and society is growing a violent confrontation line”, so we need a “large-scale political reform”. October 22, 2012 in the election of the Coordination Council of the opposition on general civil list Sobchak took fourth place with 32.5 million votes, after A. Navalny, D. Bykov and G. Kasparov.

After the parliament elections held 2011 December, 4th, which are known for the incredible amount of fraud reports, Ksenia joined the protest rallies held in Russia as a response for the elections frauds. She also took part in the campaign against Putin’s re-election, working as an observer during the president elections held in 2012 March, 4th.

In the summer of 2005 Xenia was going to marry an American businessman Alexander Shusterovich, about it was publicly announced. However Sobchak, a few days before the ceremony, scheduled for July 1, 2005, by her own admission in the press, called off the wedding.

In a 2008 interview Xenia said: “Family and children – are not the things that interest me … They do not cause any sentimental feelings, I do not like little kids, I do not want to live as a family in its classical sense. These values are not for me! .. I believe that capitalism – the best contraceptive. When you have a normal life, work, education, money and opportunity, you absolutely do not want this life – diapers, cooking and other “fun”.

November 16, 2011 in TV program “Let Them Talk” on the first Channel Xenia publicly got love confession from the head of the Department of Culture of Moscow, and former State Duma deputy Sergei Kapkov, whom Sobchak dated for about a year.

Meanwhile, in June 2012, the press reported that Sobchak had a close relationship with Ilya Yashin. In an interview with “The Anatomy of Love and protest” channel “Rain” both of them have confirmed this fact. On parting with Yashin became known in December 2012. And finally, February 1, 2013 Sobchak married actor Maksim Vitorgan.
