Born on 30 July 1944 in Sverdlovsk (now Yekaterinburg), Evgeniy Dobrovinskiy (Dobrovinsky) is one of the brightest and most influential masters of Russian graphic design. He graduated from Moscow Printing Institute. In fact, Dobrovinskiy works in the field of font, poster, book and magazine design, easel graphics, and in particular, land art. According to the artist, he loves a game of snow and shadows. Here, he feels tender care about innocent trees. And the artist confirms: “It’s not good to be naked even in summer”. Fortunately, some trees, chosen by Yevgeny Dobrovinsky, will get warm in pants.

Noteworthy, creative and talented many-awarded artist is a participant and winner of many art exhibitions. In particular, the Grand Prix at the International Biennial of Graphic Design in Brno (1974 ), and Silver Medal at the International Exhibition and Book Art Contest (IBA) in Leipzig (1976). Besides, Silver Medal at international poster Biennale in Warsaw (1978), and Gold Medal at the International Biennale of Theatre poster (Dimitrovgrad, 1985). Also, the Grand Prix at the International Museum Biennale (Krasnoyarsk, 2001), and Finalist (twice) Award for design innovation DIA (Moscow, 2003).

In addition to teaching a course on Calligraphy at the Higher Academic School of Graphic Design, Dobrovinsky manages the author’s art studio.
In 1992-97 he lived and worked in Israel. His solo exhibitions took place in Russia (1978, 1987, 2001), Austria (1988), Germany (1989, 1990), and Sweden (1990). The author of several art events and performances, he is a member of the Union of Designers, Artists’ Union of Russia and the Union of Designers of Israel. Academician of the Academy of Graphic Design.
