Land Art by Yevgeny Dobrovinsky
One of the brightest and most influential masters of Russian graphic design Evgeniy Dobrovinskiy (Dobrovinsky) was born on 30 July 1944 in Sverdlovsk (now Yekaterinburg). He graduated from Moscow Printing Institute. Evgeniy Dobrovinskiy works in the field of font, poster, book and magazine design, easel graphics, land art. “That was a game of snow and shadows and here I feel tender care about innocent trees, it’s not good to be naked even in summer, only chosen trees will be in pants by Yevgeny Dobrovinsky”.
Among major awards – the Grand Prix at the International Biennial of Graphic Design in Brno (1974 ), Silver Medal at the International Exhibition and Book Art Contest (IBA) in Leipzig (1976), Silver Medal at international poster Biennale in Warsaw (1978), Gold Medal at the International Biennale of Theatre poster (Dimitrovgrad, 1985), the Grand Prix at the International Museum Biennale (Krasnoyarsk, 2001), Finalist (twice) Award for design innovation DIA (Moscow, 2003).
Evgeniy Dobrovinskiy teaches a course on Calligraphy at the Higher Academic School of Graphic Design, manages the author’s art studio. Given lectures and master classes in Dzintary (1979), Freiburg (1989), Stockholm (1996), Kharkov (2002). In 1992-97 he lived and worked in Israel. His solo exhibitions were held in Russia (1978, 1987, 2001), Austria (1988), Germany (1989, 1990), Sweden (1990). Evgeniy Dobrovinskiy is the author of several art events and performances. Member of the Union of Designers, Artists’ Union of Russia and the Union of Designers of Israel. Academician of the Academy of Graphic Design.
