Metaphysical Mind of Sabir and Svetlana Gadzhievs. Talented duo of Russian artists Gadzhievs Sabir and Svetlana do all their artworks together. Sabir Takhir-Ogly Gadzhiev was born in 1967 in Kiev, Ukraine. His wife Svetlana was born in 1963 in Chelyabinsk, Russia. In 1993 both of them graduated from Repin’s Fine Art Academy Faculty of Architecture, in St. Petersburg, Russia. Artists and architects Sabir and Svetlana have two daughters, many friends and a huge number of plans! Metaphysical Mind – the closest definition for their art. Different techniques and multidimensional forms compare each other in their attempt to get out from ordinary reality.
The first joint paintings of Svetlana and Sabir appeared about twelve years ago. Then the students of the Faculty of Architecture Institute. They painted Petersburg landscapes, executed in watercolor. Spiritual closeness and extremely sensitive understanding of each other, led to this rather unusual among artists, a phenomenon when discarding personal ambitions, they changed I own to the WE.
“Metamorphosis”, “game”, “transformation” – that’s possible keywords to identify certain common “code” to the works of young artists. Unstoppable flight of fantasy of authors unwittingly drags the viewer and thus starts an amazing journey through the maze of subtle lines.
