“I have no training in art, but trust in the innate talent, my passion for creating images and years of experience as an illustrator. Partly I take inspiration from the beautiful forests and the costs here in Sweden, and urban areas, including my hometown Karlstad. Many images also have life because of my vivid imagination. Technically, the American photo-realism has inspired me a lot recent years”, says Johannes Wessmark

The technique in which the artist works – watercolor, colored pencil, oil and gouache. “Crayons always been my favorite tool, although I have written a lot of watercolors and airbrush painting for many years. I like to mix technology. I paint large areas with watercolor or air-brush and details with colored pencils and a fine brush.”

Photo-realistic painting is impossible without photographs. In photo realism, change and movement must be frozen in time, which is scrupulously presented by the artist.
