Born 18 August, 1976, Vasily or Vasya Lozhkin is a Russian artist and songwriter living in Solnechnogorsk, a small town in Moscow region. Noteworthy, the artist himself doubts in his artistic abilities. Meanwhile, in his paintings you can see the world of psychosis, madness, extreme forms of mental states, visions and hallucinations. “As an artist (in the great sense of the word, of course, because I can not draw) I am indifferent to the surrounding reality. I picture a fabulous fantasy world. Sometimes it’s a world of psychoses and all kinds of borderline conditions, sometimes it’s scary, but still it’s a fairy tale with a good ending. In general, recently I try to do more than something positive, something that would cause positive emotions”.
