In March 2000, Ekaterina Rozhdestvenskaya’s photo-art work “Private Collection” based on the paintings of famous artists, was published in the journal “Caravan of Stories”. In the glamorous photo collection there are more than 200 portraits of well-known Russian politicians, TV presenters, actors, journalists, singers, athletes. Staged photographs with using costumes, scenery, they become similar to the characters of the past. Ekaterina Rozhdestvenskaya held 75 exhibitions in Russia and abroad. In April 2009, Ekaterina Rozhdestvenskaya was elected an honorary member of the Russian Academy of Arts.

Stoker 2013 psychological horror film, directed by the Korean Park Chan-wook and written by Wentworth Miller. It stars Nicole Kidman as Evelyn Stoker, Mia Wasikowska as India Stoker, Matthew Goode as Uncle Charlie Stoker. Wentworth Miller, the screenwriter was influenced by Bram Stoker’s Dracula, and described his screenplay as a “horror film, a family drama and a psychological thriller.” Hitchcock’s Shadow of a Doubt also influenced the film. Miller said: “The jumping off point is actually Hitchcock’s Shadow of a Doubt. So, that’s where we begin, and then we take it in a very, very different direction”. One of the greatest ballet dancers in history, choreographer, and actor, Baryshnikov celebrates his 65th birthday today. Born on January 27, 1948, in Riga, at the age 12 Baryshnikov began studying at a local choreographic school. A few years later he studied at the Leningrad choreographic school. Noteworthy, his teacher was Alexander Pushkin, mentor of Rudolf Nureyev.
Baryshnikov made his first trip abroad in 1970, while in London, on tour with the Bolshoi Theater. However, In June 1974, while touring with a troupe of the Bolshoi Theatre in Toronto, he refused to get back to the USSR. According to Baryshnikov, he had artistic rather than political motives.
