She decided when he finally gets stronger – she will let him go free. Fortunately, Velga lives in a small hut in the Latvian forests in dozens of kilometers away from civilization, so the young bear feels almost like home.

The Metropolitan museum of art has compiled a collection of photographs taken before the era of digital alteration which feature outlandish compositions. ‘faking it’ is comprised of almost 200 images captured between the 1840s and the 1990s. The exhibition takes place in the Metropolitan museum of art, New York city, USA, from October 11th until January 27th, 2013. The photographs in the exhibition were altered using a variety of techniques, including multiple exposure (taking two or more pictures on a single negative), combination printing (producing a single print from elements of two or more negatives), photo-montage, over painting, and retouching on the negative or print… in every case, the meaning and content of the camera image was significantly transformed in the process of manipulation.’

On a sunny summer day, July 29, 1925 the photographer of New York News Harry Warnecke reported that on a busy city street a cop stopped the flow of cars, because the cat with kitten tried to cross the road. Unfortunately, Harry arrived at the place, when all had been over. Meanwhile, the photographer tried to persuade the police to help recreate the morning scene. However, all went wrong. First, the policeman resisted. Second, the cat did not want to cross the street in front of cars, and motorists honked furiously expressing every possible outrage. Nevertheless, the third attempt became successful, and the photographer managed to recreate the morning scene.
