Melting house in Paris

Uneven walls, blurred windows, indistinct shapes … It seemed that the house was slowly melting in the sun. However, the key to such a strange phenomenon caused disappointed sigh of those who sincerely believed in an experimental architecture, and brought a sigh of relief among those who regarded it as a mirage. Cross Bones Graveyard, known also as Redcross Way, is a post-medieval cemetery in The Borough, Southwark, south London. It’s an ancient site, dating from medieval times and a large proportion of up to 15,000 people buried here are said to be prostitutes and their children. In 1992 archeologists found a highly overcrowded graveyard with bodies piled on top of one another. Tests showed those buried had suffered from smallpox, tuberculosis, Paget’s disease, osteoarthritis, and vitamin D deficiency. A dig in 1992 uncovered 148 graves, dating 1800 – 1853. Over one third of the bodies were perinatal, a further 11 percent were under one year old. The adults were mostly women aged 36 years and older. The gates to forgotten graves are permanently decorated by a changing array of messages, ribbons, flowers and other tokens.

This 19-year-old dog Schoep is as in a cradle in the hands of John, who carries his 19-year-old dog into the warm waters of the Lake Superior every night, to make him fall sleep. Swimming in the water soothes arthritis and floating in the water helps him ease the pain. Lake Superior is very warm at this time, so the water temperature is ideal. John saved Schoep when he was eight-month-old puppy, and since then they have gone through many adventures together.

Finca Bellavista – Village of houses in the trees.
When, in 2006 Erica and Matt Hogan decided to buy land in Costa Rica, they could not even imagine to settle on 600 acres of wild rainforest. In the process of seeking a suitable site, they stumbled upon this piece of wood – it was sold under cutting. “We felt that in this land, there is something sacred, and decided not to cut anything here – says Eric. – But one night I thought that trees could be a great advantage.
