Chamarel Coloured Earths
This landscape has been tourist attraction and geological curiosity since the 1960s. It is located near the village of Chamarel, Mauritius. Such sand dunes area The Seven Coloured Earths is approximately 7,500 square meters, with 7 shades of blue, red, green, brown, purple, yellow, and violet. The different shades of surrealistic landscape are a consequence of the molten volcanic rock cooling down at different external temperatures. Another amazing feature of Chamarel’s Coloured Earths is that the dunes never erode, in spite of Mauritius’ torrential, tropical rains. The dunes are wisely protected by a wooden fence and tourists are not allowed to climb them. Instead, they can look at the scenery from observation outposts placed along the fence.
In addition to admiring the colored sands, visitors can buy a souvenire tube in local stores filled with wonderful colorful sand. Noteworthy, the layers of sand of different colors in the test tube also do not mix. In particular, if you shake the tube, the layers mix together, however, after a while they will separate according to seven colors: red, brown, purple, green, cyan, magenta and yellow.

Dew drops on the web photography
Russian nature photographer, known as Selena1965, takes amazingly beautiful pictures of a tiny world around her. According to some information, born in 1965, photographer Selena lives in Lithuania. Most of all I like the series of photographs, which I prefer to call the “dew drops on the web”. Meanwhile, her macro images are the same amazing as the skill of the architect itself – a spider. Unfortunately, there isn’t any additional information about the author of these stunningly beautiful images.
Once, Alan Wilson Watts (6 January 1915 – 16 November 1973) wrote: “Imagine a multi-dimensional spider’s web in the early morning covered with dew drops. In fact, every dew drop contains the reflection of all the other dew drops. And, in each reflected dew drop, the reflections of all the other dew drops in that reflection. And so ad infinitum. That is the Buddhist conception of the universe in an image.”

Hardly anywhere else you can find a field where all the plants are about 5 meters in height! People use the leaves of sunflower not only in agriculture (still used as feed for cattle), but also in the pulp industry for the manufacture of paper. In addition, the sunflower has another valuable feature: it extracts toxic components of the soil, such as lead, arsenic and uranium.
