Splendid cryptic and amazing toadfish
First of all, Toadfish is the common name for a variety of species from several different families of fish, usually because of their toad-like appearance. Fish in this family are usually called toadfish: both the English common name and scientific name refer to their toad-like appearance (batrakhos is Greek for frog). Toadfish are benthic ambush predators that favor sandy or muddy substrates where their cryptic coloration helps them avoid detection by their prey. Toadfish are well known for their ability to “sing”, males in particular using the swim bladder as a sound-production device used to attract mates.

World most beautiful crystal cave Mlynki – horizontal gypsum rare crystal cave of labyrinth type. Located in Ternopol region, Ukraine, it is one of the most beautiful gypsum caves in the world, is known for the multicolored gypsum crystals. The total length of the passages of almost 45 km. The temperature in the cave in summer and winter is always constant – about 9-10 degrees Celsius. With crystal lined walls glittering deep beneath the earth’s surface, these mesmerizing scenes are taken from inside the cave. These awesome images were taken by naturalist photographer Oleg Grigorev. At the entrance of the cave you are met by the sculpture of a speleologist Vasya (Basil). You have to touch him or be photographed with him for good luck.

This collection of wonderful retro photographs cataloged in Detroit Publishing Company, the Library of Congress. In fact, dated around 1905 photographs belong to an unknown author. In particular, each photograph – taken with a large format camera on an 8×10 negative. The series is reflective of such a fascinating turn-of-the-century period, when photographs were much more rare than they are today and creativity behind the camera was still being discovered. Besides, the costumes represent the fashion when men smoked pipes and wore fancy suits and women donned fabulous flowery hats and frilly dresses. Meanwhile, the unknown artist had quite a creative approach in photography conception. Thus, he dressed up different bulldogs in fashionable garb, thus giving each little boy or a girl such an incredible personality. By the way, the costumes represent the Victorian era fashion, with smoking pipes men and wearing flowery hats and frilly dresses women.

Graphic designer and artist Aritz Bermudez was born in Venezuela and raised in Guatemala. He holds a degree from Parsons School of Design in New York. Aritz created a series of silhouette landscapes titled Young Boys. Using his own photographic captures of stunning stretches of land and vast expanses of oceans, Bermudez showcases his engaging portfolio as a photographer. He represented Guatemala at the 2011 Young Lions Cannes Festival and won a prize for best cyber advertising.

I visited the Azov Sea a couple of years ago, but didn’t see such scary red color. Tourists, locals and scientists are buffled as the waters of the Azov Sea, near Berdyansk village, turned bloody red. According to the locals, it might be a sign of the coming events, prepare for the second coming. Meanwhile, the officials try to calm people down, claiming that this is perfectly normal event, nothing to worry about. They explain everything that has happened, happened due to natural reasons. However, it still remains unclear what has happened. The red color of the sea might have different causes, among them algal bloom. Besides, the toxic pollution is also in the list.
