Born on the Canary Islands in 1979, Saul Santos Diaz is a talented Spanish photographer. In 2001 he began his adventure in the world of photography, combining training and education with works for press and book editorials. Besides, he collaborated with tourism companies and different publishers from all over Canary Islands. Meanwhile, in 2006 Saul moved to Madrid, where he started his professional career. According to the photographer, he made his dreams come true. After finishing prestige college C.E.V. (Centro de Estudios del Video y la Imagen), he became professional photographer and a superior technician of artistic photography.

Meanwhile, when seahorses find a mate, they wrap their tails around each other so the tide doesn’t drift them apart. During this time they may change color. Noteworthy, they have that one mate for the rest of their lives! And when the mate dies, its partner dies too.

According to the craftsmen of the beautiful Tapestry Project, it took them a year to create it. The tapestry, in particular, is 70m long and woven to tell the tale of the final days of King Harold’s encounter with William the Conqueror in battle. However, until now that tale did not include the coronation of William, which happened on Christmas Day 1066. According to historians, the final segment of the Bayeux Tapestry was lost, that’s why the islanders began the project to restore it. Meanwhile, Kate Russell, Alderney librarian, along with 416 Alderney residents worked on the project.
According to the craftsmen, they began the original tapestry from the Battle of Hastings. Discovered in the early 18th Century, it ended with the death of King Harold at Hastings. Commissioned by William the Conqueror’s half-brother Bishop Odo, the Bayeux Tapestry aimed to celebrate his victory over Harold Godwinson at the Battle of Hastings in 1066.

The Menton lemon festival
Held on the traditional carnival date, 40 days before Lent, The Lemon Festival is quite unique and beautiful event. Famous in the world, it attracts each year more than 230,000 visitors – a constantly increasing attendance. In fact, it is the second biggest event on the French Riviera, after the Carnival of Nice and before the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Monaco. Noteworthy, the services of over 300 professionals take part in it, and it requires 145 tons of citrus fruit.
The Lemon Festival (Fete du Citron) usually takes place between mid-February until March in Menton. The city, located in Alps-Maritimes, in the beautiful area of Provence-Alpes-Cote d’Azur, France. Naturally, the lemon has become Menton’s symbol, routed in old local traditions with the new motto “My City is a Garden”.

Often called Amazon Guard, they were female elite bodyguards of Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi. Meanwhile, their official name was “revolutionary nuns”, or “green nuns”. The detachment consisted entirely of women who had received special military training. The division formed in the early 1980s, a few years after his resignation from the post of Gaddafi Libyan state and acceptance of of another title. In particular, the leader of the revolution together with the declaration of Libya’s Jamahiriya. However, the reasons for creating such a unit is unclear. According to the most common version, Gaddafi allegedly suggested that Arab terrorists, the victim of which he could be, will not be able to shoot at women. And another version, though more prosaic – female bodyguard was just one of the bizarre ways to attract the attention of the world.
Traditionally, 15 “Amazons” accompanied Gaddafi during his visits through the country and abroad. Noteworthy, in 1998 one of his bodyguards had saved his life at the cost of her own.

The author of the film “S@motnosc w sieci” 9English – “Loneliness in the net”) is Witold Adamek, Polish director and operator.
Eva (played by Maria Aguero) lives in Poland, and Jakub in Germany. As often happens in modern life, they accidentally get acquainted thanks to the global network. They begin to communicate via the Internet, through e-mail and ICQ. Meanwhile, the more they talk, the more they approach to each other, beginning to fall in love… Finally, they decide to meet in real life. But all is not as it should be.
The author also describes the life of each of them “out of the network” – friends, family, work, preferences in music. After a long virtual communication, the characters meet in Paris, and soon after they face trials that will play a major role in their relationship and the life of each of them.
According to annotation to the film, “From all that is eternal, love has the shortest period”.
