Maria Yantovskaya bead embroidered icons
Embroidered icons is traditional Russian crafts, and here are the orthodox christian icons of our Godmother. Since ancient times, in Russia has lived the tradition of embroidering icons, and decorating them with rich salaries. As a rule, the material for such crafts – mother-of-pearl, gems, precious stones, and of course, beads. Russian artist Maria Nikolaevna Yantovskaya from the city of Ryazan, began to embroider more than 30 years ago. Besides, she came up with her own technique of icon embroider, which she teaches others. Each bead is sewn separately and together, as in the Byzantine mosaics, form the whole picture. Although these icons are made strictly according to the Orthodox canon, but still, within it there is a place for creativity – patterns of crystals, stones, and pearls or amber. In addition, such creativity makes every icon unique, just one of a kind masterpiece.

Made of vintage timepieces, motorcycles created by talented craftsman are truly works of art. All I have learned about the artist (from his deviant art page) that he is a male living in Toronto Ontario, Canada. However, originally he is from the Ukraine. Inspired by different steampunk artists, Dmitry Khristenko makes his incredible miniatures of motorcycles and automobiles using watch parts. In fact, such kind of art is the same as jewelry art. Vintage project by Grand Ole Bestiary
The Grand Ole Bestiary is a project that contains many pseudo-retro black and white photos. You can’t see any human heads because they all are replaced with the heads of animals. Every picture and every character is unique and has his/her own name and story. Though this project seems very fantastic, it is actually not far from being real, as such mythological curios existed in different periods of time in different corners of our planet (cat-woman, elephant man, wolf-man, etc.).
