Symbolic Green color in British folklore

Green is a truly symbolic color in Celtic folklore, and in particular, in British forlklore. Together with red, green was the color most favored by the fairy races who inhabit the ancient Celtic lands. Many humans, especially in Scotland, traditionally refused to wear this color so as not to offend their fairy neighbors. Indeed, some Scottish families considered it fatal to use this color. Meanwhile, common associations between the green color and flourishing vegetation point to the fairies’ earlier incarnation as spirits of fertility and abundance.

Reasons to love trees

Reasons to love trees

I want to do to you what spring does with the cherry trees. Pablo Neruda. Reasons to love trees

Joyce Meyer once said: “Consider a tree for a moment. As beautiful as trees are to look at, we don’t see what goes on underground — as they grow roots. Trees must develop deep roots in order to grow strong and produce their beauty. But we don’t see the roots. We just see and enjoy the beauty. In much the same way, what goes on inside of us is like the roots of a tree”.
Undoubtedly, there are many reasons to love trees. First, they convert carbon dioxide into oxygen that we breathe. Second, they create a pleasant cool shade on a hot day, and are home to animals. And another reason — it is amazing how some of them look.
However, not all of the following plants are trees (wisteria — a vine, rhododendron — bush and baobab tree belongs to the family of cereals). Anyway, we can’t help admiring them because they are amazing, majestic and beautiful.

However, scientists from the University of Jyvaskyla in Finland do not agree with this.

However, it’s amazing how fragile sprouts find tiny holes in a concrete, cracking the asphalt to grow and once again see the light. Never give up! Viva la Vita! Plants that make their way through the asphalt – the best illustration of this slogan. Meanwhile, for someone, such philosophical images, like statements, will be a good motivator if not to change life, but at least feel encouraged, while for others – a reminder of the value of wildlife. And someone can simply admire the colorful and touching series of images, which leave no one indifferent.
