The group of creative Canadian artists Cube Works Studio, had been already in the Guinness Book of Records as the creator of the giant mosaic of a Rubik’s Cube, before the new colorful creation of a mosaic 85.794 cubes appeared in the Chinese city of Macau. On the previous record mosaics – “The Last Supper” and “Hand of God”, were used 4 and 12 thousand Rubik’s cubes, respectively. 85 000 cubes have become “building blocks” in the new grand art-object by Toronto artists, who formed a structure of about 4 meters in height and 60 – in width. “Our work is intended to inspire, to unite and to attract people using their nostalgic feeling – we use familiar objects, but presents them from an unexpected angle,” – said the leader of the Cube Works team Josh Chalom.
