Thomas Zimmer describes this shot: “I think it was around 8pm. The orange glow at the horizon is from the sun, but the clouds to the left – illuminated from a nearby village.” In fact, in the above photo we can see a celestial phenomenon known as Meteor showers, and in particular, the Perseids. Traditionally, people can observe the shower from mid-July each year, with the peak in activity between 9 and 14 August.

According to German photographer Thomas Zimmer, he started photography long ago, in 1980, with a used Nikon FE. Since then, he has stayed with Nikon. Meanwhile, his passion is landscape photography. Thomas loves the majestic view of the mountains and the endless open sea.
