Beautiful jewelry box “Snow maiden” – made of two solid Pearl basins of oceanic origin, in the traditional lacquer boxes technique. A delicately painted silver picture, framed in gold ornament, trimmed with natural pearls, rhinestones, and sequins.
Vesnushka (aka Vesnushka-67) is the name of a talented Master-jeweler, painter and designer from a small town of Kovrov of Vladimir region. Snegurochka, or the snow maiden is a folk character of Russian mythology, lovely daughter of King Frost and Fairy Spring. The legend of Snow maiden became an inspiration for Alexander Ostrovsky to create his play Snow maiden. Besides, the great Russian composer Pyotr Tchaikovsky wrote incidental music for the first performance. And Rimsky-Korsakov used Ostrovsky’s play as the basis for his opera “Snegurochka”.

Old Russian folk handicraft Zhostovo painting comes from a village of Zhostovo in Moscow region. Originally, manufacture of painted metal trays appeared in the middle of the XVIII century in the Urals. There were steel mills of Demidov (Nizhny Tagil, Nevyansk, and Verkhne Neyvinsk). Moscow manufacture of metal trays appeared only in the first half of the XIX century. However, the most beautiful and colorful trays – made in the villages of Moscow province – Zhostovo, Trinity, and Novoseltsevo.
In fact, Zhostovo painting handicraft stylistically related to porcelain and enamel painting techniques, used by factories near Moscow. Also, flower motifs on printed cotton, produced by the Ivanovo factories, and Fedoskino miniature.

Talented artist Boris Shapiro was born in 1968, in Lvov, the Soviet Union. He studied at the school of fine arts in his native city. But in 1991, Boris Shapiro immigrated to Israel and joined the Beer Sheva College of art. After experimenting with different media and styles Boris developed his own naive-like style based on 16-17th century Dutch school, like that of great Dutch master Peter Bruegel. With his beautiful painting he expresses his own humor, irony and simplicity of life. The portraits of 17th century people are whimsical, and the colors are usual Earth tones, symbolizing the down to earthiness of everyday life. Personal exhibitions of Boris Shapiro took place in Panama, Israel, Paris, group exhibitions in Israel, Great Britain, the United States, France, the Netherlands and Belgium.

Italian artist Danilo Martinis was born in Milan in 1976. According to the artist himself, he started drawing by pencil at the age of 5, and never stopped since. Martinis graduated from the Glasgow School of art and began his career drawing unique products from the original design. He began painting in the late 90’s with a series-style material works made using stones and enamels. In 2005 the artist dedicates himself to the search for a new expressive form of art by creating special shapes with straight and curved lines, using neutrals and particularly intense colors. Passion, creativity and research are basic elements of Danilo Martinis art.
