Scratchboard art by Dan Berg
American artist Dan Berg graduated from college of arts twenty years ago, since that he has been experimenting in his favorite scratch-board techniques. In scratch-board each image is thousands of scratches on the surface of the board to reveal the white clay coating beneath. It takes much time to finish the process. Depending on the purpose of the artist, some sections of the finished work can be covered with layers of watercolor, ink, acrylic. The artwork can be left black and white or color can be added to the finished piece by using watercolor, ink, etc.
