Born and raised in Columbia, Missouri, Marilyn Sunderland is a unique American artist, pumpkin carver. According to the creative artist, she gets inspiration from mountain areas of Utah, Riverton, where she lives now. In addition, Marilyn said, that Art has always been a part of her life. Also, she enjoyed painting portraits and landscapes with oils, acrylics, and ink. However, wood carving and glass engravings have become her favorite techniques. The gourd has become her canvas for creative expressions. As a result, Marilyn won several awards for her gourd carvings.
