In the center of Nizhny Novgorod, in the basement of an old house there is an amazing art gallery, called “Yurkovka.” Talented Russian artist Alexander Yurkov exhibits his incredible works there. In fact, the unique side of his paintings is that they are not painted with a brush, but made of dried leaves, herbs and flowers. Meanwhile, the beautiful floral mosaics of dried plants – attached so carefully that the gaps between floral patterns could be seen only under close examination. Born April 10, 1935 in the Siberian city of Tomsk, Alexander Yurkov all his life has worked in the theaters as an art director. In particular, in Krasnoyarsk, Kansk, Krasnodar, Leningrad and Moscow. However, floral mosaics has become his main hobby and passion.
