Female beauty by Victoria Stoyanova
Female beauty by Victoria Stoyanova
According to Bulgarian self-taught artist Victoria Stoyanova, Beauty and music are around us. “You just have to open your eyes, bring beauty to your heart and learn to share it with others. If more people started looking for beauty in the world around us, then this would be the best place for a happy life. Rain and puddles will be a nuisance for you until you make an opening for yourself: looking at a puddle you will see a beautiful sky …. Then you realize that this is a magic mirror”.
Born on May 23, 1968 in Sofia, talented artist Victoria Stoyanova has created a gallery of fantasy paintings reflecting the mystery of female beauty. According to her biography, before starting her artistic career in 1997 Victoria worked very successfully as a fashion designer. In her colorful paintings she sets light and darkness in harmony, and here human warmth and wisdom dominate. Somewhat kaleidoscopic, her technique is harmonious change of light and darkness, colors and plots, where the human body is always in the forefront. Victoria’s paintings revere old traditions, a hint of long-standing wisdom and reproach to modern aesthetics, which appeared at the end of the XX century.
As a child, she wanted to devote her life to music. Her early years passed in various music schools, where she learned to play the guitar and piano. But it turned out that fate had other talents prepared for her. She worked as a fashion designer and for ten years lived in a troubled fashion world. These were exciting times – constantly on the road, fashion shows, glamor and vanity. She was happy, but immensely tired. At twenty-nine, she began to dream of peace and quiet.
“I decided to quit smoking. I left the fashion and in my soul was the long-awaited silence. Nevertheless, I quickly realized that calmness is not easy to accept and stay in it. I remembered my childhood and musical dreams. I realized with great disappointment that I forgot how to play my favorite music …”
Soon she wanted to try the shades of music in the performance of colors. The first attempts were almost tragic, but fortunately, she did not give up. As a self-taught person she has created many picturesque paintings and gradually fell in love with art.
On her 30th birthday, she opened her first exhibition on the Greek island of Syros. This exhibition has changed her whole life. Then followed many subsequent invitations to exhibitions, and she stopped counting them after the twentieth. Art has evolved from a hobby in the philosophy of life, and her studio has become her cozy castle.
“Today, 13 years later, after 30 exhibitions, I no longer doubt that music has a color dimension, and I feel that I have found my way”.
