Restored Hitachi Seaside Park
Devastated by the tsunami of 2011 The Hitachi Seaside Park has been restored to its former glory. The park covers 3.5 hectares of flowers and draws local people and visitors from all over the world. Every season there has something to offer. From the hill Miharasi But Oka open wonderful panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean. However, people come to a small town on the east coast of Hitachinaka not to look at the sea. They come to a restored to its original grandeur and beauty park. The park is famous with its Nemophila flowers that color all around in blue. Besides Nemophila, there are beautiful flowers and shrubs that color the garden, depending on the time of year – from green to bright red. Hitachi Seaside Park is a kind of an indicator of how the hardworking Japanese are able to recover from tragedies.
