Russian Artist Vladislav Nagornov
Born in 1974 in the old town of Penza, talented artist realist Vladislav Nagornov began to paint at the age of six, and studied in art school. At sixteen, he entered the Academy of Fine Arts named after Ilya Glazunov in Penza, where he studied in the class of the artist Hermann Jacob. In 2001 he graduated from the Academy, and got the diploma with specialty in historical genre. Meanwhile, historical themes require strict discipline necessary to recreate the characters, costumes, decorations and interior parts corresponding to the era. Vladislav Nagornov carefully studied the works of great artists of the time, such as Repin, Surikov, Ivanov, and many others who have had a huge impact on him.
Beautiful images of Russian women in folk costumes is one of the main inspirations for the artist. Vladislav Nagornov has been a member of Union of Russian Artists since 2001. His works are in private and corporate collections in Russia and abroad.
