Art should stimulate taste
British professional food artist has created these creative pictures and sculpts. According to her, “Art should be interactive and stimulate all the senses, especially taste! Enjoy!” Meanwhile, for her artworks she used various products. In particular, noodles, pasta, spices, apples, sweets, chocolates, coffee beans, tea, crisps, nuts, cereals, fruit, vegetables, biscuits and cakes. As well as potatoes, salad, oranges, walnuts, raisins, glace cherries, cranberries, liquorice, syrup, etc… Noteworthy, each item is hand made edible work of art.
Back in 1996, Prudence Staite could not decide whether to become a chef or an artist, wanting to be both. She studied at Winchester School of Art, and this is where she really developed her love of food and art. Fusing food and art together she started working more and more with non -traditional materials. Prudence Staite made all sort of artworks from chocolate, mainly sculptures and paintings. Finally after many years of development and hard work the solid chocolate totally edible chocolate painting was born.
