Born in 1975 in Langen, a very small town south of Cuxhaven, Jenny Dolfen (Gold-Seven) is a German self-taught artist, illustrator and teacher. She teaches English and Latin at a private grammar school in Western Germany. Jenny has been working as a freelance illustrator since 2003. According to the talented artist, she has always loved to draw – at home, at school, on holiday, and on the bus. However, her main passion has always been Fantasy, from a very early age. Her inspiration with J.R.R. Tolkien started from her mother’s interest to the great English writer, poet and philologist. Now Jenny Dolfen transmits her admiration with characters by Tolkien to her own two children.

“But the jewel burned the hand of Maedhros in pain unbearable; and he perceived that it was as Eonwe had said, and that his right thereto had become void, and that the oath was vain. And being in anguish and despair he cast himself into a gaping chasm filled with fire, and so ended; and the Silmaril that he bore was taken into the bosom of the Earth.”

J. R. R. Tolkien, The Silmarillion, chapter 24: Of the Voyage of Eärendil and the War of Wrath
