Jewellery Theatre company was founded in Moscow in 1998. The Philosophy of Jewellery Theatre is to create a world within a world; that is, a world of wonder on a higher level. Jewellery Theatre employs the genius of brilliant designers with the craftsmanship of master jewelers. Working only with precious stones and metals, their designers and jewelers create pieces that are unique.
As for the history of Jewellery Theatre, it began in 1998, in Moscow. Already in 1999, the jewellery company took part in the “Jeweller-99” international exhibition in Moscow. And the first success – the Diploma for Constructive Design for the invention of the “heel” (which allows rings to be displayed upright, so, it has become one of the hallmarks of Jewellery Theatre). Besides, in 2000, the Company receives an award from Russia’s largest diamond producer, Alrosa Ltd, for the best piece of jewellery featuring a large diamond. The next year, Jewellery Theatre presented a new collection – The Diamond in the Russian Avant-garde – and jointly with Alrosa Ltd and the Museums of the Moscow Kremlin organized an exhibition in the Dormition Bell Tower of the Moscow Kremlin, Diamonds of Russia – the 20th Century.
In 2002, the Jewellery Theatre company got international recognition. A joint exhibition with American designer Lisa Vershbow followed participation in the “Baselworld-2002” international jewellery and watch exhibition and first prize in the “Tahitian Pearl Trophy” design competition.
In 2004, Jewellery Theatre made a wedding gift consisting of cuff-links and a pendant for Prince Felipe of Spain and his bride, Letizia Ortiz.
In 2007, the company organized Diamond Maximum, a theatrical exhibition project featuring Tribute, an exceptional diamond. In 2010, the Company took part in “Baselworld”; Jewellery Theatre placed its stand on the most prestigious level of the exhibition, First Avenue. Jewellery Theatre produced a new crown for Miss Russia.
In 2012, Jewellery Theatre opened a flagship boutique at 44 Old Bond Street in the heart of London’s elite Mayfair district, thus beginning a new era in the history of the brand.
