Black and white photography by Michael Kahn
According to Canadian photographer from Toronto Michael Kahn, he began photographing at the age of 13, after his father gave him a camera. Meanwhile, he prefers to work in black and white photography. Also, according to him, he has always loved nature, especially the water. Michael travels a lot, and he captures with his 1950’s camera a diverse array of subject matter including various genres. In particular, portraiture, lifestyle, urban, wildlife and landscape. Then, he collects his images on traditional black and white film and produces luminous silver gelatin prints in his darkroom. His traditional technique united with his distinctive sense of form, vision, and composition has helped him to be one of the most memorable photographers of our time. As a result, Kahn’s stunning seascape and spectacular sailing photographs decorate many art galleries and museums throughout the world.
