born in Kharkov, Ukraine, Evgenia Miro is an artist and designer. In 1998, she graduated from St. Petersburg Academy of Decorative and Fine Arts with honors. In 1999, Miro became a member of Union of Artists and designers of Russia. She passionately loves color and considers it to be the fundamental element in decoration. Professional artist, Evgenia Miro exhibited her beautiful art works in Great Britain, France, Germany, Sweden, Russia and the U.S.A. Besides, Miro has become the first Russian contemporary designer to collaborate with famous company Hermes. She brought the beauty of the Russian ornaments, customs of Russian culture in her art works for Hermes.
In addition to her contribution to Hermes, she has also designed for other brands in France, for instance, Pierre Frey, Emaux de Longwy, Beauville, J.Seignolles. In Great Britain – Wedgwood, and Provasi in Italy. And a great number of her customers are, of course, in Russia. Today, you will find her beautiful art works in the most selective and luxury shops worldwide.
Her preferences go towards symbols and adornments of the world. In her opinion, each symbol is a secret sign which represents either a religious belief or a representation of the universe.
For many years, she worked mostly in Russia. Her love for theater and music lead to a remarkable collaboration with the Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra of Moscow and the Mariinsky Opera Theatre of St. Petersburg. In 2004, her introduction to Hermes transformed her life and led up to new horizons. For Hermes, she designed scarves, enamel bracelets and china tableware.
