What’s more amazing though is that this painting has tripled in price since it was last sold 5 years ago. Incredible. An intensely blue painting, which the artist Joan Miro described as “the color of my dreams”. Miro, a Catalan artist born in Barcelona in 1893, called his 1927 surrealist dream-scape Peinture (Etoile Bleue) a key image, incorporating symbols that he would use repeatedly in later years.
