Born in the village of Kochkurovo, Mordovia republic, on August 25, 1967, Yuri Dyrin graduated from Art School in the city of Saransk. His first solo exhibition took place in 1992, in the Museum of Fine Arts of Mordovia. Then, followed solo exhibitions in Moscow, Magdeburg, Tallinn, Prague, and Norwegian Stavern. His art, collected and synthesized in the unique personal style of folk wisdom and style elements of artistic culture around the world. His paintings show signs of modernity, as well as surrealism, fauvism, and primitive art. Yuri Dyrin is a member of the Union of Artists of Russia, permanent participant of republican, regional, national, foreign and international exhibitions. His works are in private collections in Russia, Finland, Norway, Germany, USA, UK.

Yuri Dyrin is incomprehensible and unstable, but in his adult sophisticated understanding of art is very well kept clean, the children’s perception of the world. Creativity of Yuri Dyrin is divided into two separate trends: “mini tales” which images inspired by the wisdom of folklore; Ethno-futuristic art – the artist explains it as the work of art in the style of the peoples of Mordovia, where instead of the traditional folk images and identities accents are extremely textural combinations of patterns, repeating features of Erza people ancient paintings on wood products, textile, or household items. Painter can actually call himself Ethno-futurist, managing to embody ethnic beginning with the essence of the future. It is originally refracted, truly individual style of creativity, which indicates the highest professionalism of the artist.
