Very talented wood sculptor Yuri Firsanov is the author of these artworks, named “Hours of Russian soul”. It took him five years to create these beautiful sculptures depicting scenes of everyday live of a Russian village. Meanwhile, Wheel, potter’s wheel, rubbing millstones, spinning wheel – symbols of non-stop movement of time. And Birth of yarn in spinning symbolized the continuity of the thread of human life. Besides, Loaf of bread, a horseshoe, a samovar, hearth, accordion – symbols of wealth, happiness, prosperity and harmony in the relationships. The collection is a simple world of our ancestors, the roots of the folk wisdom filled with poetry, proverbs and sayings.
