Jewelry Collection Russian Seasons by Alena Gorchakova
Born and raised in Moscow, Alena Gorchakova grew up in a family with rich cultural and historical traditions. Her work is primarily a tribute to the unique Russian art and beautiful architecture of Orthodox Christian churches, their grace and beauty. Since 1980 Alena moved to New York where she studied at the University, and worked in the evenings. In particular, Alena is responsible for window dressing in the largest stores in New York: Henri Bendel, Hermes and Bergdorf Goodman. Meanwhile, the first collection of jewelry by Alena Gorchakova «Les Saisons Russes» – is a tribute to Russian culture, and its compelling, symbolic domes. Creating her jewellery pieces she uses yellow, pink and white gold, rubies, orange and blue sapphires, white and yellow diamond, orange garnets, tsavorities, and a variety of other precious stones.
According to jeweler and artist Alena Gorchakova, dome for her, the image that best reflects the culture and traditions of Russia. “Many of my compatriots prefer things Western, but they should just look around, and they will be able to see our unique art and architecture, their grace and beauty. To see what can really be proud of.”
