Sweden based artist, living in Helsingborg creates wonderful pieces of art, a mix of real life photography with illustration. Distinguished by simplicity and color absence, his drawings, at least the major part of them, designed in black-and-white. In fact, the work of this 25-years-old drawer is fresh and positive, and he creates new worlds, coming from the things we already know. According to the artist, there’s no need to be complex to do it. Meanwhile, the main inspirations for Johan – other artists, movies, music and even by long walks. Johan works at his own design company, but he intends to be more dedicated to illustration, specially because the positive critic he has received about his works.
On his website snarlik.se artist and illustrator Thörnqvist continuously adds his images. In particular, cunningly assembled collages where photos and drawings mixed into the whole small universe. It’s hard not to fall in love with everyday magic that the photos and detail in the drawings radiate.
