British artist and craftswoman Joy Funnell is a Senior Art Clay Instructor of the Guild of Enamelers based in Hastings, East Sussex, the United Kingdom. She creates unique beautiful handmade jewellery using silver, enamel, and glass. Funnell is passionate about using textures and color in her work. Besides, Joy is a Technical Editor for Metal Clay Artist Magazine – the magazine for all metal clay lovers. In particular, Joy uses transparent enamels on the fired silver so the beauty of the silver can shine through. Also, she specializes in her Enameled Accents technique where jewel like colors captured in fine silver wires on the surface. The art works of Joy Funnell received awards at International Silver Accessories Competitions.
