Paper filigree by Eugene Evseeva
Traditionally, quilling involves the use of strips of paper that are rolled, shaped, and glued together to create decorative designs. In fact, during the Renaissance, French and Italian nuns and monks used quilling to decorate book covers and religious items.
Meanwhile, Latvian artist Evseeva – the master of paper filigree. In her collection there are quilled postcards, chocolate, packaging, and animal illustrations. However, my favorite are female characters. Hair, clothes, flowers, hats – all in the hands of the talented Eugene turns into works of art, and even masterpieces. Here we see with familiar faces of celebrities: Natalie Pushkina, Vivien Leigh, Marilyn Monroe, Jennifer Lopez, and many more. In addition to iconic faces, there are equally fascinating portraits of unknown women in vintage style.
