Born in Taganrog in 1971, Alexey Adamov is a talented Russian painter. In 1992 he graduated from Rostov-on-Don art school. Participant in exhibitions since 1996, a member of the creative Union of artists of Russia since 2004, International Arts Fund, the Moscow Association of artists, Corresponding member of International Academy of culture and art. Landscape and seascapes is his main inspiration. Nature itself is more close to the inner world of man, adjusts to contemplation and meditation, and then the pictures turn into beautiful poetic short stories about the sea and man.

Adamov was born and raised in Taganrog on the Azov Sea. Marine element, in all its forms, entered his life in early childhood. The artist feels sea deeply and subtly. The excitement and calm, tides and quiet moonlit nights, sunny and cloudy days – all imprinted in the paintings of the artist. There is a desire to transmit light effects – moonlight in the dark sky and fascinating lunar path on a smooth mirror of water, mysteriously looming in the distance a lone sailboat, hot sunsets, dazzling calms or soft mist in the morning. The artist is gaining momentum, as if liberated, the movement of his brush attain freedom, smear becomes decisive and accurate and works acquire a keen sense of reality. Of course, elements of romanticism remain, as it is characteristic of the artist’s soul, and is generated by the very nature of the marine element. The excitement and thrill of beauty combined with fear and trembling before its power leave no one indifferent.

Adamov is the artist with a fine sense of nature, variability and diversity of its states, and knows how to convey it on canvas: clear summer day and twilight, lull before the storm, freshness after the rain and the heat of the setting sun, the transparency of an autumn forest and whitish morning fogs.

The landscapes of southern and central Russia is a leitmotif through all the works of Adamov – filled with surprising silence, harmony and peace. Practically, in the landscapes of the artist there is no dramatic, collisions – only peacefulness, sometimes quiet sadness. Topics taken from nature are carefully designed, the main flawless tone deepens space, filled with air. Painting is light, sometimes clear, there is always place for the sky, and every painting is filled with light. Landscapes by Alexei Adamov awaken in people good feelings, evoke memories, reminiscent of the eternal. The artist depicts the fact that every person is familiar, close and dear, which is associated with the concept of the motherland, “The village”, “Autumn forest”, “Foggy Morning”, “In the woods for mushrooms” and more, constitutes a picturesque portrait of mother nature – soft, thoughtful, free.
