Born 9 January 2007 to Australian father Michael Andre and Russian mother Nikka Kalashnikova, Aelita Andre has become a painter. As a baby, she often watched her parents, both artists themselves, work on canvases on the floor. No wonder, that she learned to paint before she could walk. Noteworthy, the young artist working in abstract and surrealist styles, sold her most expensive painting for 30,000 dollars. And the total cost of all of her paintings sold about a million dollars. Meanwhile, buyers of her art, in particular, at her New York show commented favorably on the paintings’ simplicity and richness in texture. Besides, a number of major news sources, including Time, the BBC, The Washington Post, the The Sydney Morning Herald, ABC News, and the New York Post, compared her to Jackson Pollock, Salvador Dalí, and Pablo Picasso.
