Here is the set of backstage photos of the Miss Belarus 2012 contest, which took place in Minsk, in March. Mostly, the photographs are black and white, which make them especially impressive, natural and stylish. And, of course the contestants themselves are gorgeous.
In fact, the Miss Belarus beauty pageant is a bi-annual national contest that takes place in Belarus since 1998. Traditionally, the winner represents Belarus in Miss World. Meanwhile, the main award includes the Miss Belarus crown made out of 100 grams of white gold of 585 (about 14K) with half a thousand precious and semiprecious stones. In addition, the beauty queen usually receives a solid sum of money. Thus, in particular in 2010, the winner received 50 million BYR (~$16 700 USD).
