American artist, sculptor and glass maker Ronnie Hughes creates flame-worked or blown glass sculptures on their own organic glass bases. According to the artist, he has been creating glass wildflowers for thirty-five plus years. All work is done in free-form, without the use of paint, molds, specialized tools, wires, glue, or non- glass materials. He works in his studio near the Blue Ridge Parkway in the beautiful Appalachian Mountains of North Carolina, USA.
