Batik world by Mary Kaminskaya
Born in 1983 in Rostov- on-Don, Mary Kaminskaya is Russian artist of applied art. She graduated from the South Russian State Technical University. In addition, she is a philologist – Interpreter of the German language. In 2001 Maria Kaminskaya participated in the exhibition “Young Artists of the Don” in Rostov- on-Don. There she received the diploma of the third degree. Engaged in painting on silk since 2002, she moved to Moscow in 2006. Already in December 2007, Maria Kaminskaya had her first solo exhibition “Silk Road”. In 2008 she became a member of the Creative Union of Professional Artists. Participated in the anniversary exhibition of goods and crafts in Monaco, as well as in the exhibition “Golden Globes 2008” in “Crocus Expo”.
Her works – silk paintings, scarves, ties, umbrellas and other handmade accessories are in private collections in Russia, Moldova, Georgia, Israel, Australia, Canada, United Kingdom, and USA.
One of the trends of the fashion world is batik, handmade, exclusive. To have some exquisite dresses or suits in your wardrobe is a must-have thing to look unique. Undoubtedly, such things will be fashionable for many decades – silk scarves, shawls, batik neckties.
Originally from India, batik appeared in Russia in the second half of XX century. It became very popular among those who are able to create something with their hands and those who love all kinds of non-standard fashion items.
