Belgian artist Jean Claude Dresse
Born in Charleroi on 8th September 1946, Dresse grew up in a family of artists. His grandfather was an amateur artist, sculptor and painter, and his father and cousin – first violin at the Conservatory. That’s why, many of his paintings depict composers, musicians and violinists, just suppose. And according to his paintings, he is inspired by the Renaissance epoch and works of old masters, and in particular Flemish artists. Jean Claude Dresse studied at the Accademia de Charleroi. In 1985, he held his first solo exhibition in Brussels. Since then, the talented artist regularly exhibited in his native Belgium, in France and in the Netherlands.
