Black and white drawings by Yury Poberezhny. Russian artist Yury Poberezhny was born in 1955 in Mozdok. In 1976 he graduated from the Stavropol art school. Since 1998 he has been a member of the Union of Artist of Russia, and International Academy of Graphic Art. He works in the children’s art school in Mozdok, Lukowski Art School, the Pedagogical Institute on UNESKO department in the city of Vladikavkaz. He is the winner of II and IV International Biennial of graphics (Saint-Petersburg). The works are in private collections in Russia and abroad.
Yuri Poberezhnyi lives and works in his native city of Mozdok, which became for the artist the theme, and source of inspiration. In contemporary art Yuri Poberezhny showed an extraordinary talent for viewers and professionals. He is one of those who creates capacious, huge, variegated world, and breaks down stereotypes.
Every year, Yuri Petrovich and his students participate in various national competitions. Five works of his students are in the Children’s Fund of the Russian Museum. His Graphics recognized internationally. His works are in private collections in Russia, Ukraine, Germany, the United States, the International Fund for the graphics (Saint-Petersburg), in the Art Museum in Vladikavkaz, in the museum of Pyatigorsk, and in the cultural center “Liga” (Kolomna).
