The photo artists tried to portray the appearance of the characters and mysterious atmosphere of Bulgakov’s novel. Each frame of the series tells the story of the events occurring in a particular chapter. The Master and Margarita is a novel by Russian writer Mikhail Bulgakov. He worked on his most original novel, The Master and Margarita, from 1929 until his death; it was published in the Soviet Union only in 1966. Many critics consider The Master and Margarita to be one of the best novels of the 20th century, and the foremost of Soviet satires.
